ABOUT BRIGHTER SIDE STRETCHING

WHAT TO EXPECT

Assisted stretching is a hands on approach that involves physical contact.  We will be in communication throughout the session, nothing should be painful.  Please be prepared to notify me of any area that may need to be avoided or may need extra care and caution.  (Feel free to bring in a list of injuries, surgeries, hobbies, goals, and physical activity habits for my records and information). 

To get the most out of our time together, please wear comfortable and stretchy attire that will not interfere with our work by restricting your range of movement.  Please wear gripper socks for safety if you have them, as shoes are not appropriate to be worn during our sessions. 

There is a chance that with your first stretch, you may experiences some soreness or DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) afterward as with the first time doing anything new in a new range of motion, or beginning an exercise for the first time, or in a long time.  This is temporary and can be minimized with adequate hydration. My goal is to improve your quality of life and avoid any injury or harm to you in any way.  By agreeing to receive services from me, you are choosing to do so at your own risk, and you will be required to sign a liability form before we begin.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Our studio is located on the second floor (first door on your left up the stairs) in an older building, so you will need to be able to climb a flight of stairs with a railing in order to receive our services at this time.  (Facilities are located on the first floor to the right as you come into the building if you need to change clothing before or after our session).

 

 

 

OPTIONS & CANCELLATION POLICIES

30, 60, or 90 minutes sessions and have a set drop in rate.  Packages are also available for a reduced per minute rate.  Packages may be shared amongst family members and packaged sessions never expire.

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance of scheduled session. Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours of the session will be charged a 50% fee, cancellations less that 24 hours in advance will be charged for the entire session.

OPTIMIZE YOUR SESSION!

HAVE A GROWTH MINDSET:  Expect to improve! Be excited about our sessions and the work that you do outside of our sessions. 

MINDFUL HYDRATION: Adequate high quality purified water, and mineral salt intake. We require minerals and salt to get hydration INTO our cells.  Hydrated tissues move better and are less susceptible to cramping.

CONSISTENCY: The more regularly stretching occurs, the quicker the results will appear, and the longer they will remain! This is a lifestyle.

COZY: Wear cozy, comfortable, stretchy clothing to freely move without frustration and maximize your ability to get a good stretch :).

TIPPING

As with all body work, tipping is never expected, but always appreciated.  You are welcome to show your gratitude with gratuities.

FRAGRANCES

Please refrain from heavy use of conventional perfumes or colognes on the days of your visits.

You may have heard that “fragrance is the new ‘second hand smoke’”, and it’s true! Present day conventional fragrances, perfumes, colognes, fabric softeners, air fresheners, etc are often composed of a myriad of chemicals that are detrimental to our health and endocrine system.  Many individuals are very sensitive to this and experience reduced status and function promptly when exposed.  Due to the nature of our work, if it is on your skin or clothing, it can transfer to my skin and clothing and negatively affect not just me, but all of those that I will be in contact with for the rest of the day.  We try to keep our studio as clean and non-toxic as possible, so please be considerate to maintain our environment to be as conducive to healing as possible! 

*Note* we do often use natural and CPTG essential oils in our studio as a non-toxic and health improving alternative.

MEET ANNIE

.I am very passionate about health and healing and absolutely adore working with individuals who WANT to get better.  I’ve been working with individuals one on one for over a decade to help them get from where they are to where they want to go, celebrating every victory along the way. It’s so fun!

My background is in Physical Therapy and I currently hold a license as a Physical Therapist Assistant, I am currently certified as a Pre and Post Natal Fitness Specialist, and I have been focusing on assisted stretching over the past 4+ years while working as a Flexoligist.

I believe that we were created for community, and I find it absolutely beautiful that sometimes we cannot heal in solitude, but rather with humility and surrender, we can receive the healing that is intended for us in the hands of a trusted friend or practitioner.  (Our healing comes from our Creator, not from a person, but we can facilitate the journey to help receive the fullness of that healing as we simultaneously agree to receive said healing).

For first time clients. We will cover intake, movement assessment, and goal setting, followed by a personalized session to work toward your optimal performance.

30 Minute stretch

In a bind but don't have time for a full session? Sign up for an express session to concentrate on a specific problem area. Best for addressing just 1 or 2 focus areas.

60 minute stretch

$99.99

A 60 minute sessions allows adequate time to do a full body stretch to make progress toward your overall goals. You'll leave feeling rejuvenated.

90 Minute stretch

$134.99

Are you ready for a truly immersive session? A 90 minute session allows for extra focused work in addition to the standard full body stretch. A true refreshment!
